Meet The Hygienists of St. Croix Family Dentistry!

Dental Hygienists are an Important Part of Our Team!

Being proactive about your oral health is important, and dental hygienists are there to help patients do just that!

The primary role of a dental hygienist is to prevent and treat oral diseases. Dental hygienists are licensed by the state in which they work and are part of a healthcare team that includes dental assistants, dentists, and other experts.

Dental hygienists:

  • Perform oral health assessments
  • Clean teeth by removing plaque and tartar
  • Apply sealants and fluoride
  • Take and interpret x-rays
  • Administer local anesthesia
  • Educate and counsel patients on how to maintain optimal oral health

St. Croix Family Dentistry has five dental hygienists on staff:
