Veneers
Dental veneers are thin, tooth-colored shells that are attached to the front surface of teeth to improve their appearance. They can be used to treat chipped, broken, discolored, or smaller-than-average teeth. Veneers are often made from porcelain or resin-composite materials and are permanently bonded to your teeth.
Crowns
A dental crown is a custom-made, permanent “cap” which is placed over a prepared natural tooth. Crowns are used to restore a tooth’s strength and function and to improve its appearance. Crowns can be made of metal, resin, porcelain, or a ceramic material that most closely mimics the color of tooth enamel. When cemented into place, a crown completely covers the tooth at and above the gum line.
Crowns can be used in many instances, including to protect a tooth that has been weakened by a crack or decay, restore a broken tooth, cover a dental implant, when a tooth has undergone a root canal, and to make a cosmetic modification such as closing spaces between teeth or reshaping or rotating teeth.
Tooth Bleaching
Tooth bleaching is a type of tooth whitening which relies on peroxide-containing materials that target the tooth’s color and are intended to remove intrinsic (from within the tooth) and extrinsic (on the tooth’s surface) discoloration. A dental professional will examine your oral health conditions and assess your needs and desires prior to determining a tooth bleaching treatment plan. Professional tooth bleaching can be done in the office or with at-home treatments under the supervision of your dentist.
